ProfLateef OladimejiSanni is a Professor of Food Science and Technology in the Department of Food Science and Technology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He is currently the Dean College of Food Science and Human Ecology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He is the Country Manager of the Cassava: Adding Value for Africa Phase II (CAVA II), Nigeria.
Prof. Sanni has over 20 years’ experience in research, consultancy and collaborations as a postharvest expert on tropical root crops mostly in West Africa coupled with missions to Latin America, Asia, Europe and other parts of Africa mostly implemented by the International Institute of Tropical Root Crop and Natural Resources Institute, UK, respectively. He won the 2008 Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Award Regional Technology Development in Sub Saharan Africa (http://www.cgiar.org/newsroom/scientific.html). He is a mentor to the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development, President, African Branch of International Society of Tropical Root Crops (ISTRC). He has extensive field experience working with the private sector, NGOs, capacity building, and development organizations. He was promoted Professor in 2008, Director Leventis Memorial Centre for Learning, 2007 and served as HOD, Department Department of Food Science and Technology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria from 2011-2013.
